It’s just great, easy to text and the MP3 is good.  I love the big screen!  I’m so happy with this phone, no more slow txting for me.

Since I started doing daily walking for exercise instead of the bike / treadmill at the gym, I’ve become non-saturated by Sky news.  I just don’t really know what’s going on in the world and am blissfully dumb to it all.

I watch a lot of advert-free downloads, radio without adverts etc and it seems technology may deliver more information, but I can streamline the rubbish out of my life.

What would I do without my internet, mP3, DIVX or PDA…

If there’s one thing we can’t decide, it’s dog or no dog.  Or pedigree or mongrel.

We spotted a lovely little dog in the cat and dog home at the weekend.  Only problem is the dog chews things and poops everywhere – it can be retrained.

The missus wants a pedigree beagle. 

I just disagree with buying pedigrees, especially for £750.  They can have problems also because they’re a fine breeding line.

Ho hum…decisions, decisions.

Well, after a week of cloud and rain, we eventually got some sunshine on Sunday.

But it soon clouded over and was raining like a pig this morning :

Wonder if we’ll ever see another decent summer soon?

I had to get a tyre repaired recently which had a nasty puncture.

Kwik Fit Milngavie was my local outlet – so I went there expecting a happy ‘Kwik Fit fitter’ as the advert says.  Instead I was chatted up to see if  I wanted 4 new tyres for my vehicle, which I had to decline twice. 

Eventually the attendant relented and started to fix my puncture….all seemed well, wheel balanced and so on.  But when I got home I noticed the rim had been scraped.  I phoned Kwik Fit Milngavie who told me I had to speak to head office – who then told me without evidence they would not entertain any sort of claim.

I’ve spoken to my solicitor, but he was honest and said the legal expenses would not be able to be reclaimed in full, and it’s a grey area e.g.your word against Kwik Fit.  Instead I have decided to have the wheel refurbed but my brand new Oz rims are no longer perfect….pretty pissed off with that.

So basically Kwik Fit are absolute monkeys – I’ve mentioned this incident to some guys at the local car club and they have told me Kwik Fit are total idiots, I shouldn’t go there ever?!?!!!

 So in a nutshell, Kwik Fit Milngavie are thick, stupid monkeys who can’t be trusted to change a tyre!!!!  Don’t go there.

I’ve checked some power-sellers and their average sales.

One guy who sells cables does on average 302 despatches per week. 

He makes £31500

Minus his eBay fees, listing fees, returns + missing items and final evaluation fees.

Let’s say he makes £25,000.   For that he’s got to deal with 302 listings, 302 sales and 302 feedback.  Plus deal with all the lost items in the mail. 

He’ll have to do his taxation and accounts – that will eat quite a lot of time with this many sales. 

Then he’ll pay an accountant – prob.at least £1000 because of the volume.

He’ll need space for his goods – even if he uses a room in his house, he could have rented that room for £250 per month or £3000.  But let’s say for arguments sake it’s worth £1000 for the inconvience.

So he makes £23000 pre-tax, then pays tax and is left with 15000 profit.  And he’s spending min.40 hours a week servicing all his clients and shipping 2 quid items.

 How do they do it????  Even if they got the goods for 10p it would be hard to make any serious profit.

Woman drivers are just plain stupid.  They don’t know the highway code, don’t indicate too often and have no idea of speed limits – they’ll do 40 in the 60 zone then 40 in the 30 zone!

Men on the other hand are stupid also, but they don’t know it.  They know the highway code but disobey it.  The indicate never or always, and they do 80 in the 60 zone and 40 in the 30 zone.

Boogaz the toy is quite something – plastic/rubbery representation of you favourite bogies.

I think this idea has been too long in the making and should have been out in the 80s.

Still better late than never!

Snotas in Scotland.  Boogers in America.  Bogies worldwide.  Call them what you like, they suck but there is a certain satisfaction when you eject them from your nostrils.

This may be the title of this blog – snotas.  But it’s not going to be all about the green sticky stuff, but more the ramblings of a deranged man trapped in metropolis.

Snotas – they remind you of where you came from as a child, and will make you remember that your body is regenerating all sorts of stuff when it feels like it, something you should respect.
